About Isla Reddin Isla Reddin is an executive coach, adolescent development advocate, and founder of Crack the Teen Code, where she helps parents build stronger connections with their teenagers while fostering the confidence, judgment, and sense of agency young people need to navigate adulthood.

Drawing on her experience in leadership development, executive coaching, curriculum writing and training K12 teachers, and raising two sons, Isla challenges traditional approaches that prioritize control and compliance over connection, capability, and personal responsibility. Her work focuses on helping adults better understand what drives adolescent behavior and respond in ways that build trust, strengthen relationships, and encourage young people to take increasing ownership of their lives.

Isla believes that agency develops not by shielding young people from every challenge, but by giving them opportunities to make decisions, navigate setbacks, and discover their own capabilities. Passionate about extending this conversation beyond the family, Isla advocates for greater collaboration among parents, educators, and youth-serving organizations to create environments where young people can thrive.

Her guiding belief is simple: Our responsibility is not to manage young people's lives, but to prepare them to manage their own.
