About Dr. Erin Halligan-Avery: For over 20 years, Dr. Halligan-Avery has worked across higher education, nonprofits, helping professions, and organizational leadership. She has spent her career thinking about the people who do meaningful work, the systems they work within, and what happens when caring starts to require too much of them.
She holds a Ph.D. in Mental Health Counseling and Supervision from the University of Rochester and is a professor of Public Administration, Nonprofit Management at SUNY Brockport. She’s the founder of ConcernCenter, Inc., a resource-navigation SaaS company designed to help people find the right support when they need it.
Across all of her work, her mission the same: she helps people and systems name what's no longer working, stop carrying what isn't theirs, and create clearer, more sustainable ways forward.
